Apparantly they may be looking for Luna. I'm not 100% sure but the casting people may be looking around british schools for people roughly between the ages of 14-16. But don't beleave everything you hear if it hasn't come from WB...

With filming for Goblet of Fire now completed, people have been wondering about casting for Order Of The Pheonix. "Casting for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has not commenced yet. Casting agencies, such as enchantment casting, do not work directly with Warner Bros. Casting agencies represent actors, and a casting director will choose actors and/or actresses for the movies. We will let you know when some form of casting has begun. In the mean time, do not bother with casting agencies, as they will not be able to provide you with a part!" - LR + HPMA So we can only guess as the moment when they will start casting again. They are saying don't bother with agencies because they won't get you a part which probably means they arn't going to start casting yet.

Sorry i havn't updated in a while, i've been on holiday like many people... but. I am afraid this next part won't be about the auditions.

I was looking through the tag board and it seems like you lot like chatting and discussing the auditions and stuff. And you seem to be having troubles with being online and chatting at the same time. Well, i may have a solution. I don't know if it's a good idea or not so you will have to let me know and help me out a bit on this. I was thinking of a message board. Of course we could still keep the blog but a message board would be a good way of discussing what you think and sharing what you know. It would be much easier than a tiny tagboard but i need to know what you think.



Anyway i got an email From a Melissa (won't say surname for privacy reasons) and i thought i should post it on here so i don't get asked this question over and over.

She asked "I was wondering if US resdents can try out for her part i mean if you can be there when the Auditions are and if you can move to England if you make the part of her! and so my main question is can US residents try out for her part"

Well, it has been said that warner bros have stated they only want UK residents. For many reasons including that Hogwarts is a British school. But that doesn't mean you can't send in packages. You never know, they might find the perfect one and she is american but they still cast her. It seems unlikely but anything is possible so don't let me stop any amercans. I am not 100% sure that is the address to send Luna packages in but i am pretty darn sure it is.

I just remembered... As you may know (if not then where the heck have you been?) HBP was released on the 16th July. I won't reveal and spoilers here incase you havn't finished the book (can't be responsible for the tagboard though). Luna Lovegood does appear in the book a few times if not that many. If there are auditions for the part of Luna, if she is in the movies (which she had better be) then she may well be in the 6th movie as well as the 5th. Lets hope she will have a bigger role in book 7.

Ok just to run over what the casting people might be expecting:

Hair: Dirty blonde/Light brown that sort of colour not that it matters too much. Tom Felton has brown hair after all. Preferably long-ish in length(waist length).

Eyes: Bigger the better. It won't ruin your chances if you have small eyes as computer tech have come so far. Light in colour (light blue/light green/gray/light brown). Contacts will do if you have dark eyes.

Build: Some think thin some don't. It doesn't actually matter as the book doen't say.

I think that's it. It'll do for now and don't forget you practise your acting and loony-ness as that's the most important part!

Filming on the fifth Potter movie - The Order of the Phoenix - is due to start in January 2006, and there have already been lots of rumours about casting.

The script won't be finalised for months, so at the moment there's no information whether characters like Luna Lovegood will be in the movie.

But it's unlikely that there will be casting calls that anyone can go to.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros. told CBBC Newsround: "We don't automatically do open casting calls."

"We only do them when it's particularly challenging to find the correct person for a particular part."

That's why open casting sessions were held for the Patil twins, and for Cho Chang.

It was very difficult finding young actresses with the right appearance through acting agencies.

In the case of characters like Luna Lovegood or Michael Corner - if they're not cut from the film - it's almost certain they'd be filled without the need for open casting calls.

Filming on The Goblet of Fire will be drawing to a close soon.

Actor Henry Lloyd-Hughes plays Ravenclaw quidditch captain Roger Davies.

Michael Corner is one thing but Luna Lovegood? I sure hope doesn't get cut from the film.
I hope there will be open audition otherwise too many wannabe won't even have a chance.

 

As the 4th movie won't be coming out until around November, the Luna auditions are most likely to be around October to December 2005.
